Check your hosting
Last week I decided to change my hosting account on one of the servers and I did transfer the complete site within some time, the problem with my website was that it was loading slow because it was on the shared server and was hosted with around thousand other sites sharing the same server and bandwidth.
For the same purpose I was looking for a semi dedicated server or a cheap Dedicated Server which can possibly fulfill my needs. I was also looking for a good data center for hosting the sites as well. My majority of traffic comes from two countries US and UK, so I needed a less latency server for my needs i.e. minimal traffic loss and maximum up time.
Some of my traffic comes from Asia but for that I can not compromise my US and UK visitors. I did search US Datacenters for a cheap dedicated Server but was unable to find one. All of the datacenters did have almost same prices and did charge quite a bit of money for renting the server.Then I moved over my search to UK and found Rapid Switch to be perfect host for a dedicated server. They have their own data center and the capacity is quite large as well over 5K servers and expanding rapidly to reach over 10K servers by 2009. If you trust Microsoft’s stats then Rapid Switch is 3rd fastest growing server company in UK. So who else can I trust for my websites and data. What else , they even provide Server Co-location in their Datacenter meaning you can keep your own hardware in their datacenter and pay for the elctricity and Bandwidth usage.
