Page rank is one of the major criteria (there are 100 more of them) which Google uses to determine their search results. When you look closely at the search results of Google and Yahoo you will find that not only Google but also Yahoo uses a concept somewhat similar to Page Rank.
We all are aware of the fact that these two major search engines are responsible for about 75% of the traffic to all the sites, which means the higher your site is in search results higher would your traffic be ( you can check this out by comparing the Alexa rank of the sites that appear in the search results). In this world of internet, traffic could mean lots and lots of money
and that’s exactly what brings us to today’s topic the importance of PageRank.
PageRank in most of the cases if not all is responsible to traffic on your site. So it is important to have a decent page rank if not a high one for your site. You can achieve this target of yours by building some related one way links to your site. One way link building is the catch here. You have to remember that out bound links are just like parasites and they would finally suck the link juice out of your site and leave you absolutely no where in the page rank.
